Two men, both former Secretaries of Defense, disagree with Obama's handling of Syria.

Gates says, No need to cause a fuss over statement that should not have been said.
Logical and he is ignoring the feeling of people over the matter, just hard cold logic
although many "F" type people will not care about the logic and focus on how it will effect other people.

Panetta says, When an American President draws a red line it must be backed up!
All to do with how people will "feel" , ignoring the lack of logic and that the statement should
not been said, which "T" type people will place in high priority along with what as Syria really
got to do with us.

This is a clear demonstration of the Republican "T" person and the Democrat "F" person
viewing the same events and information with entirely different filters resulting in opposite affect. They basically have little in common to make a usefully discussion on the issue.

Thankfully the 'T" side of the issue was seen by a majority of the American people even though
some are "F" type people. "F" type is in a slight majority of the population. This is a rare result.

If it were (it was, W!) a republican president, the rhetoric would be identical, only from the parties switched.

I doubt it. But then a "T" President would hardly do the feeling thing and draw the Redline as a heart string tug.

If Saddam doesn't disarm, we'll disarm him.

Looks like a line in the sand to me.

I think W once taunted the insurgents, saying "Bring it on!"

It doesn't look like a heart string tug, it seems to be a statement of fact that followed a command.

Read Bush's 2003 SOU speech. Full of heartstring tugs.

Someone's got themselves a little theory they're trying to stuff everything into...
