Chris Johnson hasn't played a ton in the last two seasons, but there seems to be a disturbing trend with him that makes me think he may be a bit of a head case.

Last year in the playoffs he didn't like how he was manhandled on a play and fish-hooked and threw Dirk Nowitzki. Then in the Phoenix game he and Robin Lopez were getting in to it. Robin was called for a foul, but it looked like a retaliation by Chris Johnson and Lopez got whistled on the play. Dude seems like he is a loose cannon to me.

You don't like how you are getting played, fight for position, play better defense, you don't go trying to start shit over an NBA foul. I am just kind of curious if anyone else has seen this kind of play from him, or if it is just me.

I was trying to find some youtubes of these plays, but couldn't find any. As long as we don't need to rely on Chris Johnson, it's not a big deal, but if he starts a brawl with his antics.... He seems to have a lot of potential, but he seems to not be all there mentally.

well, if he starts a brawl, between him and Dirk, I'd say that's a win for us.

He's a headcase because he tried to draw attention to Dirk's illegal holding tactics, then successfully drew a foul on Lopez?

I don't think he is a head case or a dirty player, I think he is just trying to be physical when he gets in the game. The book on him is that he is light, easy to manhandle so he may be overcompensating.

He's a borderline player ... if he feels a twinge of desperation to stay on the court and make a mark by any means necessary I can't say I'd be shocked.

How is fishhooking a guy on the other side of the court drawing attention to holding? I wish there was video of the Lopez foul, but couldn't find it. I'm just throwing my thoughts out there. Feel free to disagree. I am just a little surprised that a guy who is on the end of the bench and doesn't get a lot of minutes seems hell bent on starting shit with his opposition in about every other game he plays in. That's not the way to earn playing time.

If he has that "Dirty Player" in him, then that's a damn good thing. We need more intimidation on the floor. We need players to get under the skin of the other team. But alas, I doubt it.

Yeah, probably not. On the other hand, he's not very good, so why worry about it?

We need some freaking toughness. What you described isn't dirty. It's how the NBA is played.....and about time we got some physicality in it. I am tired of watching the super-stars crab-dribble, and also shoot foul shots for getting pinched on their way up to the hoop.

Scrubs like Jim McIlvane, Kurt Rambis, and Reggie Evans stayed in the league by being 'dirty' players.

What an odd criticism, considering Johnson hasn't even been T'd up or received a flagrant foul, let alone started a brawl.

I think he's a feisty, aggressive player, not a dirty player.

No complaints here. We need more players who arent afraid to mix it up!

he reminds me alot of antonio harvey.

Better than Paul Harvey, for sure...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Good day

And now we know the REST of the story!

What got him into the league is that he's more active than the average popsicle stick. It's to be expected that he get dirty, maybe even bitten in half with his splinters sticking out.

If it means anything, he's a really nice guy. Not a head case at all.

I've only seen him interviewed a couple of times, but he seemed like a humble guy who was grateful just to get the opportunity to make an NBA roster.

sorry, does not compute. There has to be something wrong with him.

His face kinda has that Fetal Alcohol Syndrome look to it.

Well that's good to hear. I am probably off base. I am sure a guy like Kurt Thomas will show him how to play the right way.

Damn right magnifier. Damn right.
