In October, Joaquin Phoenix quit acting to become a musician. So this weekend, he showed up at the swanky, $22 million nightclub Lavo at Palazzo to make his first announced concert performance. He rapped three songs after midnight Friday. Yeah. Rapped. Then he fell off a catwalk.

I am not sure you can hear much, but here is a video of the thing.

And Joaquin Phoenix falls off stage.

He looks like tony Clifton in that video. You should ad a poll. I vote hoax.

Let's hope it's for some kind of Tom Green/Borat movie he's doing.

That is Hilarious.....

In general, celebrities making a$$es out of themselves is hilarious....

I vote for hoax, but dont really care either way. He has zero stage presence. Maybe he's out to prove that it doesnt take much talent to be a rapper.

This either ends with a mocumentary or a stint in rehab.

Caught on Tape: Joaquin Phoenix Attacks Heckler

As with baracuda, I'm reminded of Andy Kaufman and his heckler. This does nothing but prove it imho.

To me it's pretty clear that's a hoax. Casey Afflek following Phoenix everywhere with a camera and capturing all his moves only points out to the mocumentary route.

The whole Letterman thing was a shtick, falling under the category "there's no such thing as bad publicity."

if you watch the letterman interview he "breaks" character a couple times and you can see him try and get it back. and i agree with 123, casey affleck following you around screams mockumentry.
