Is Portlandia funny?

I watched 15 minutes of the first episode and thought it was humorous. Is it actually laugh out loud funny? It was funny to me how it captured Portland weirdness. Opinions?

Better stoned than drunk. Lots of subtle humor youll miss if your drunk. Hit and miss is a good discription. Some episodes are complete brilliance, others not so much.

There's a few mildly amusing bits but as was said there's a lot of misses.

Think I'll keep watching Xfiles until season 7 or so and then start Airwolf with some Knight Rider mixed in.

I watched a few, seemed pretty lame.

To me it seemed to be mocking Bay Area types, but I guess that's who has taken over Portland in the last 15-20 years.

It's pretty much the opposite of Portlanders I grew up with.
