I agree. I'm just tired of it. Their are so many religions, it's all bogus to me. It's annoying and when I listen to people that are hardcore into it they seem brainwashed and out of reality. I live my life my way, I form my own opinions and do what I feel, I don't live by some old book. Who and the hell wants to live for eternity in heaven anyway...not me.

i don't need "god". What happens to me is because of me. I got an A on my test b/c I studied long and hard, "god" didn't pop the answers in my head. I hit a home-run b/c I practice hard and i stay focused. "god" didn't just fly in and give me the strength to hit out. God gives me faith when I'm down and keeps me going.The whole idea of Christianity is to be a good person and if you do so will go to heavan and live eternally with God.That's what we believe in,I am Catholic and religion is important to me.The bible gives hope and teaches all kinds of lessons in life.I also believe Julius Cesar took some stories out of the bible cuz hes stupid but for the stories in the bible they are inspirational. Just because you don't believe in something don't talk it down like it means nothing. Especially if you don't even fully understand the christian religion.Dont be so ignorant playaofthegame. As for those things you listed as it wasnt god that...blah blah no sh*t god didnt beat GTA or God didnt hit no homeruns or make slam dunks etc.Where do you comeup with this stuff,people always say if there was a god there would be no murder,no stealing,no drunk drivers and things like that. God doesn't control people.God gave something called free-will to people that live in the world,that way he could see the good people from the bad and who goes to heaven and hell. Again,this is what I as a Catholic believe. If believing in a God is so silly,then why do millions of people everywhere believe in him? People need hope,faith and inspiration in their life and they get it from religion.I'm not talking about stupid terrorits that have blow themselves up for their religion they are idiot extremists.I'm talking about true believers that get hope from believing in God.

well, they did find the ARK. I come from a family where most of my uncles and aunts and grandparents are Preachers. and im not sure what's what!!!\but yeah they did find the ARK- i think. IMO it was written as a history book. I think that alot of it happened but got changed in translation (it was originally written in hebrew) and i think it is a case of a fishing story - the fish gets bigger n bgger.

I am sort of in the middle ground on this. Do I believe there is a God? Yes I do. I think there was someone who created the earth and the heavens and whatnot but I too do believe that we don't have to do so many things to get into heaven. I believe as long as your a good person you get in. I can't see someone who is an atheist but donates to charity's, helps others, and is just a good person go to hell just because he didn't believe in God. This also would go for someone who does believe in God but may not have been batpized and they go to Hell eventhough they have lived a great life and never did anything bad? I just that as unfair.

But how is believing in something wasting your life? It's not like I'm becoming a priest or anything. If there is no heaven or hell then who knows what awaits me after I die,but that's not the point. Christianity gives meaning to people's lives and gives them something to shoot for.

the big bang actually helps the argument for god, take the causation argument, everything is caused by something until there is one cause... god, what caused the big bang ? silly questionstake this argument. god couldnt have talked to adam and eve. if you dont believe in evolution, human beings started with adam and eve. language is evolutionary, you cannot argue against that. so adam and eve being the first human beings were not in the possession of a propositional language i.e they would have grunted and pointed but couldnt ask complex questions like "dont eat that apple". so when god came down to the garden to talk sh*t with adam and eve they wouldnt have been able to communicate, god is almighty but adam and eve arent they couldnt understand anything God would have said so God couldnt have told them anything, there was no communication. adam and eve wouldnt have been able to tell people the story of their meeting with god either as they wouldnt of had the vocab to 'spread the word'. so the attributes ascribed to god came after adam and eve and the whole story itself is made up.God came after humans, so he is not inside of us, he is no more than idea.. herd of hypochondriacs ? welcome to religion

You guys that are saying religion is bs realize that they are finding things that are said to be true in the bible right? Do you think that's all a coincedince? BTW playaofthegame you seem to think religion takes a lot more time out of your life than it really does. I'm in church and all I have to do is go to church which usually lasts about an hour ever Sunday and go to Youth Group meetings ever Staurday night for an hour. I don't have to take much time out of my life for it at all. And no religion isn't bs. Being a Christian myself it's nice everyone time your scared about something or nervous about something to have someone to pray to. Praying can really honestly make you feel better and get you through things. Also I hate it when people always say what has God done for you. If God did everything for you there would be no point in living. IMHO I feel the reason we are here in life is to be givin obstacles in life an to overcome them. I also believe that every obstacle in life that I am givin God is there to help me through it and watch over me. Just because he doesn't do everything for you doesn't mean he's not there. Also another thing religion is good for you is it gives you guidelines in life to make you a better person. Think about it. If there was no religion in the world and religious people didn't have guidelines to follow the world might be in more khaos that we will ever see it. Without religion there would be nothing in the world to encourage people to be a better person.
