Is Rudy our new point guard?

I think this argument needs a moderator. So in my expert judgment I give point, set and match to Minstrel after Maris double-faults on the last serve. Congrats to Minstrel for winning.

Mills and Batum get fewer FTA/min than Rudy. Yet this thread says they'd make better PGs than him.

If Rudy doesn't dribble into the paint, and hang out under the hoop, I missed it. That's where he lives. Even if he did avoid it, the reason would be skinniness, not dribbling.

McMillan has done this before. Brent Barry just put his head down and dribbled.

BTW, the "I made a sandwich" line is getting old, and is pathetically desperate anyway.

This is the part that stings. While I've used that line before, I've only used it a couple of times in my entire posting history here and it's an extremely good illustration for children about how correlation doesn't equal causation. It's clear, concise and sandwiches are memorable.

This is just so sad.

This is the weakest post of all the weak, unsupported posts I've ever read by you, and that's saying something.

Thanks for proving my point by providing no evidence of any kind to support your absurd opinion.

Your story about Rudy "avoiding traffic" is quickly debunked by watching any Blazer game. You should do that sometime.

Next time you have nothing of value to post, try to resist the urge to make shit up.

This post out-dumbed itself with each subsequent sentence.

I'd like a sandwich, but it's late, and it would go straight through the lips and right to the belly.

This thread says, Rudy can't be a PG because...he currently doesn't handle the ball as much as the PGs. Okayyy...well, I notice he gets more assists/minute than Roy or Matthews, or Batum (someone said Batum would make a better PG).

So if Rudy scores a negative for handling the ball less than them, shouldn't he score a positive for getting more assists than them, despite handling the ball less? If he handled the ball as much as them, he'd get even more assists.

If Rudy starts at PG because Miller is traded, we'll be worse at PG, but we'll also be better at whoever we get for Miller (assuming it's not just a draft pick or something stupid). Yet this thread says that the team will be lottery-bound if Rudy replaces Miller. What if we can get someone good for Miller, who more than compensates for Rudy not being as good as Miller?

This is all theory, until McMillan experiments with Rudy more. Aldridge is showing that when you become the Man, you change. Brent Barry showed the same phenomenon when he replaced Payton.

I think Rudy could be productive @ PG in certain situations but saying he's a better ball handler than Roy (even if injured) is absolutely ridiculous. The only way to settle this ridiculous argument is to watch a game. I've done that many times and Rudy's handles are average at best for a SG...

Red herring. No one in the thread said that.

Hey, pops, wearn 2 weed.

Rudy is the second best ball handler on the team, far better than either Patty or Brandon, and with PT will could eventually be better than Miller.

Those who disagree need to offer evidence (good luck with that) to back their weak attacks.

But he'll be our starting SG by next year so the arguement is moot.

I think we should bring back Qyntel Woods and give him another go at point guard... how bad could he be?

Collinearity is one of my favorite statistical concepts.

One of my biggest disappointments with Rudy is his seeming unwillingness to work on his game or his body in the offseason. He could be an effective combo guard, but it would take real work over the summer on ballhandling. For example, I expected him to have added 10-15 lbs of muscle by now, which would have helped him enormously. Perhaps Aldridge can talk him into it.
