Is there interest in Ruben Patterson?

I don't think we're lacking any bodies to fill out our roster, what with Robert Hite being signed to a partially gauranteed contract, but I think Ruben would be a great bench asset to this team.</p>

Posey would have been idea because of his 3 point shooting ability, but I think Ruben can still work on this team when coming off the bench even though we already have a SF in Boki.</p>

Perhaps offensively Ruben functions as the SF and Boki as the SG? If Wright's jumper finally shows itself that could also make things interesting (and perhaps the reason why we won't go aggresively after the remaining free agents?). What do you guys think on bench minutes, and the possibility of adding him to the team in that regard?</p>

No. Any idea of putting Boki at the 2 spot is a bad idea. Ruben would basically take Wright's minutes, but he isnt that much better than Wright imo. Both are capable defenders, but the advantage Ruben has over Wright is toughness/rebounding. Thats about it. Wright wins in the shooting department. Our wing spots are all set with RJ, VC, Boki, Wright, and Hite. I didnt mind Posey because he does everything Wright does but much better. The Nets should really be targeting Pietrus(another athletic/shooter/defender) or a 3rd string pg.
