Isaac Remington Suspended ***UPDATED***

EUGENE – Senior defensive tackle Isaac Remington has been suspended indefinitely from the University of Oregon football team pending clarification of an incident that occurred Friday morning in Eugene, according to the Ducks’ head football coach Chip Kelly.

The Phoenix, Ariz., native is tied for third on the team in tackles for loss with four for minus 13 yards among his 12 tackles in six games, including four stops earlier this year vs. the University of Arizona.

The Ducks do not play a game tomorrow before traveling to Tempe, Ariz., for a Thursday night (Oct. 18) clash at Arizona State.

supposedly he is suspended pending more information, not sure if that means there is more to the story to suspend him, or if there are just checking to see if there is more at all.

Rather than suspend or kick a player off the team, I think Chip should implement a new policy for punishment.

If a player gets in trouble, they can either let every player on the team kick them in the balls...... or they can leave the team. Their choice.

whether he starts or not, certainly the various reserves role's will increase in any games one of the starters is out. I'd expect Arik will continue to do well, though it's too bad as Isaac has been playing well. Hopefully he didn't fuck up too bad

while I did take a vaca in march I'm amazed this is the first I've heard of this. My first google on this makes it seem that the outcome is pending, which is probably why he wasn't suspended. Feel free to clue me in to whatever you know as I'm all ears

everyone's in agreement that having a Duck cleared of an indiscretion when he wasn't in the wrong is a good thing... cool mo de! Why should someone be suspended when they're not guilty of any indiscretion?
