Isles taking a stand as the best of the Metro Division and they are the
new force of NY hockey...................after decades of lousy, non-playoff
teams. After all these years, they are now on a level hockey rink with
the Rangers. They are young, big and talented and now they are boasting
their success...............and the rivalry is renewed. They are looking down
on the Rangers and they want to keep them there.
Rangers may have different thoughts.

Isles forcing the play. ....early.

Brassard couldn't of had a more open net.

Seriously Brassard? Come on dude...you HAVE to put that in. Kings flashback.

Pretty even period. Brass has got to score there. Angers me a little.

Good timeout there...Rangers are getting outplayed pretty badly so far this period.

Islanders have been in the Ranger's zone the entire period. It's only a matter of time.

This is the typical flat performance after a long trip (or far trip out West). Not surprised thus far. Need to get our legs going.

Well it's a one goal game so we can't say it's over yet but it just seems like one of those games they have one they just don't play well

Because games like this are SC games to the Isles and Devs. They get up way more than we do for these games. I don't think that is the issue tonight though, I just don't think we have our usual jump. Coming bac from out West always plays a role in these types of games. We have seen it 100 times before in hockey.

We either step up our game or we'll get run out of here.

I do agree with you chuck That the isles play like it's game seven but there's no excuse why the Rangers shouldn't play like it's game seven either, every game counts

I know Chuck but if the aisles are coming at you playing like it's game seven you better step your game up to play like a team seven there's no excuse I'm tired of people using that excuse all the time

By the way I am using the voice thingy on the iPhone so if sone of my messages don't make sense it's because I'm too lazy to type them out

Keep it at one goal and can still get a lucky bounce.

Like I said, to me that is not the issue tonight. We are just playing a terrible 2nd period and the Isles are taking it to us...good for them.

Game far from over though. We just need to get our legs and speed going. Losing Stepan hurts, but far from over.

Too many non-hitters and non-shooters on the roster.

Another team playing like it's 'game seven' is such a stupid excuse. One team giving it their best to try to beat another team....that's all it is. "Oh, the Rangers just aren't trying as hard as the Islanders"....if that makes you feel better go right ahead but it's a senseless argument. The Islanders are flat out skating circles around the Rangers so far, good for them. There is still plenty of time left to go.

This is a game where your player like glass can change the momentum, I know I'll be crucified for saying that but that's the truth

Looks like the Rangers need a lucky bounce...of rubber.

Isles very strong on the forecheck & face offs(surprise!).

Isles outshooting Rangers 2(28) to 1(14).
