Was just wondering. I wonder if we'll let him walk.

Buck can be "acting coach" for the next few years, then. Pay him like an assistant, and expect big boy results.

I think he only signs 1 year deals. I thought I read or heard somewhere that he tried to get an extension, but PA balked. I think I remember that? Either way, I'm not sure this team has the balls to let him walk. Especially if we get into the playoffs again since that's what most fans care about.

Ya I too thought he was only signing 1 year deals, meaning this should be the last year he's on his current contract. JVG is still available.

We missed out of RA, though.

JVG would be a good hire. He's also funny as hell on tv

I thought before the playoffs last season he signed a 2 year extension. I'm not certain but I remember hearing the Lakers were pissed as they wanted him to replace Phil and Kobe is a big Nate fan.

Nope, he's year to year right now.

Nope, he's signed through 2012-13.

The board experts whiffed on this one.

That type of determination, and that kind of dedication, has come to define McMillan during his six seasons in Portland.

And those two prominent traits are the main reasons the Blazers on Tuesday signed him to two-year extension, keeping McMillan under contract in Portland through the 2012-2013 season

Back to reading all of the experts' expert opinions. :)

You're correct. Nate is signed through 2013. Heads are exploding on this board right now.

If you think Nate has a boring offense...

Hey, those Knick teams from the '90s were awesome! Who doesn't like 84-75 games on a nightly basis? JVG's 57-win team had a pace of 90.5, but only an ORTG of 104 (25th in NBA). His one other 50-win team in NYC had a pace of 89.2, and another medicore ORTG of 102 (21st in NBA).

Efficient!

Meanwhile, Nate's best year as a Blazer coach was 54 wins, and with a pace of 86.6. Thing is, that team was #1 in the NBA in ORTG with a 113.4.

Bring in JVG. A slow style of play, and even less efficient that the current coach.

This place is a laugh riot at times.

Thanks for the extra dose of snark. All I remember is Nate saying he wanted to go year to year multiple times. Sorry if I missed something.

You only missed the coach being signed to an extension during the last season. Don't worry about it! Carry on with the pseudo-GM stuff. We're here for entertainment, right?

Earth shattering stuff.

I've told you guys over and over that when McMillan's current contract expires, he will have coached the same team 8 years, ranking him 20th in NBA history.

All you had to do was consult the notes you take on my posts, find my 8-year figure, look up the first year he got here (2005), add 8 to that (2013), and subtract that from this year (you can't subtract 2013 minus 2011?). This is what Pritchard had Tom Penn for.

I think part of the function of sports boards is for posters to act like GM's if they want. I'm not sure if one of the board's functions is to rag on people because they made a factual error, what is that about? It seems like it would be easier just to point out the correct facts and be proud of yourself.

No, no. I and all of the other psuedo-GMs should be fired. There's just no excuse.

turn in your psuedo-gm credentials at the door, but take solace in the fact that you all lasted longer than cho
