I watched this last night and thought it was very good and informative. Like I've admitted in the other thread about the Israel-Hamas War I'm not the expert that some of you are. I thought this piece was worthy of its own discussion and when it dies down I'll merge it into the other Israel-Hamas thread.

Looking forward to what you all think...

Very complicated topic, which goes beyond this most recent conflict.

In general, I am against the USA being involved in mid-east affairs. I believed the first invasion of Iraq was a bad idea, and would only lead to future problems in the mid-east.

How do we stop this insane cycle of violence when one side uses religious beliefs to rationalize their bad violent behavior. You can't change a large groups religious beliefs easily, if at all.

Did you watch the video?

Did you watch the video?

Yes, the entire video.

Agree a case can be made that the USA is as big of a problem in the mid-east as Iran is.

As far as a cease fire? Let's just say, it is a no win situation. A cease fire saves civilian lives, but at the cost of more Isreal soldiers lives.

BTW, unconfirmed reports that Hamas may not have control of all of the hostages. Two other groups may have taken advantage of the early confusion and grabbed hostages for ransom. One is a separate cell, but similar to Hamas. The other is said to be a street gang.

Some important points brought up that we should keep mind.

"Collective punishment is a war crime."

Poll: Most Palestinians Want Peace With Israel

Most Israelis want Netanyahu to resign

Honestly beyond the current situation, it doesn’t seem that complicated. Palestinians should be granted statehood, Israel should not be responsible for them or their livelihood, and Israel needs to remove the settlers from both Gaza and the West Bank. Any further violence or attacks from Palestine is an act of war between two sovereign countries, and the result of that is the fault of the aggressor.

Any other solution will not work, period. It will only result in further repeating the cycle we’ve been seeing since the 1960s.

I'm hopeful that after this is over you will see a number of Arab Countries & Israel agreeing to peace with a joint effort to build strong economic ties. The Abraham Accord should/will move forward.

Biden might be compromised/blackmailed by Mossad. Many think the Epstein thing was a Mossad operation. It's also possible that the military industrial complex wants this conflict to escalate.

Both sides can tell you true histories of how they were abused/wronged. But now Palestine is being run by a terrorist organization, and Israel is being run by a cruel dyspotic regime.

I take no sides, but I do want the killing to stop, and I don't think the US should get involved. Israel might not be so bold without big brother standing behind them.

IT'S WORSE THAN THAT!

HERE IS BIDEN IN A TRUMP SUIT WITH EPSTEIN!

You like to bring Trump into everything, because you have TDS. I don't doubt that Epstein was trying to blackmail Trump, that's what his whole operation was about. Whether or not he got him is unknown.

Also, don't assume Epstein is the only blackmail operation going on.
