But I'm rooting like hell for the Lakers tomorrow. It's like picking the lesser evil but I have so much hate for that Celtic team I'm going against my morals.

Anyone else feel the same? **** KG and the horse he rode in on.

Good job; I'm rooting for the Lakers, too. I'm kind of a fan of Kobe, and generally the Lakers come off as a team you love to hate. Celtics, on the other hand, you hate because they're all douchebags.

It's a dilemma. Hopefully they'll all be caught fixing the game and all the players will be banned and both franchises will be removed from the league.

I'm rooting for the Celtics. I'd like to pull a bit closer to the Lakers, even if I don't really think Portland has a snowball's chance in hell of finishing ahead of LA. But I have no real antipathy for Boston, even if KG has turned into a bit of an arrogant jerk.
 
A lot of my extended family is Celtics fans, and in fact, the first NBA game I ever went to was a C game. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for them. I am not a C fan, but I certainly like them a crap load more than the Lakers. And I also really like Ray and Rondo. Even Pierce at times can get me rooting for him. Garnett gets under my nerves (edit: gets under my skin and on my nerves), but I respect the hell out of his never say die attitude.
 
LOL - I was away from my computer much of today and was thinking about making a thread specifically about this. I'm definitely rooting for the L@kers and it definitely feels wrong . . . BUT for sure not as wrong as rooting for the unbearable Celdicks right now. I dislike the L@kers but I HATE this current Boston team.

So do I! They gave them out at Game 1 of the Finals. I wouldn't dare wear it though, I just got it as a souvenir. Went to game 1 (cost me 300 bucks) wearing a purple Kobe jersey and my Nets hat.

I will root for the lakers only once they are bottom dwellers. I wish you would come to your senses and just drop your laker fandom and start rooting for the Blazers like I know you want to. :ghoti:
 
I can't understand why anyone who isn't a Laker fan would dislike the current Celtics team. I mean, this is the team that epically embarrassed Kobe Bryant holding him to one of the worst, and most pathetic Finals performances ever. The Celtics exposed Kobe for what he really is. How can any Blazer fan hate the Celtics? It's not like there's a rivalry or anything.
 
If I have a chance I will watch the game out of curiosity - but I am not rooting for anyone. Would be happy to see either one of these teams getting an L

I just hope the team that loses dissolves into a psychic tailspin that will help everyone forget the epic collapse that happened when the Blazers lost an overhyped regular season game with LA.

100% Agreed. My disdain for the Lakers renders me a complete and loyal fan of whatever team they are playing.

Last years finals felt like vindication for the 2000 WCF - watching the Lakers blow a 24 point lead (at home) in game 4. I found myself yelling "How does that feel?" to Kobe, Phil, and Laker fans in general.

I will never pull for the Lakers.

I'm DVRing the Lakers/Celts game. Can't wait to watch it. Hoping for a good one and probably a Laker loss. Not because I hate them though, because I think I dislike Boston more, but just because they are in the West.

Now the Blazer game tonight... THAT is the game i'm REALLY lookin' forward to!

Truth is, the Blazers need a whole lot of that arrogance, and the Blazers should be watching film of the Celtics to learn how to play D. Screw the Lakers, go Celtics!
 
Celtics vs Lakers in a few minutes. Did anyone watch the Spurs-Suns game? That was an awesome game. Came down to the wire. Kind of reminiscent of the Rockets-Blazer game earlier this season.

I agree BB. Anyone who claims to be a blazer fan but roots for the lakers is a little shaddy in my book and hasn't boughten in. Screw the lakers and everything about them. I don't like KG and his antics but i'll take him blowing up the lakers everyday of the week. The blazers #1 rival is the Lakers and you should NEVER root for them.

i'm a WSU alum and you'll never catch me rooting for the Huskies (or the ducks for that matter)

Go blazers...beat the stuffing out of dirk and the mavs tonight.
 
Who cares what the lesser evil is. We need LA to lose to help us get in the Playoffs. Anytime it's an East vs. West matchup, we want the East to win.
 
I hate the Lakers, I really do, but I REALLY hate this arrogant Celtic team more than any team since I've been watching NBA basketball. The streak ends.
