I hook up my ipod to the wire so it can connect to the computer and open up in itunes, but my ipod doesn't load up. I've tried like three different wires and they wouldn't work. It worked at my friend's house, but it isn't working on my computer. Anyone think they know what the problem might be?

Maybe reset the ipod, hold menu and the middle button.

Maybe your iPod is fucked... Or the cable that connects your USB ports to your mobo got dislodged. Is your mouse/keyboard USB?

Try taking your Ipod's status off the PC all together then plug it in, You'll have to re-install it into the computer but it MIGHT work

It might be a problem with iTunes, you can try to reinstall the program but I should warn you that if you do this iTunes will give you a message about the iPod being synced with another library and you will have to reload everything back onto the device. But first, in iTunes go to help and then Run Diagnostics, and make sure the iPhone/iPod connectivity tests box is checked. If your problem is Apple Mobile Devices isn't running then will tell you how to fix it, and trust me, it's a lot easier then reinstalling iTunes.
