J.A. Adande: Oden's injury "ominous"

Replays indicate that Oden landed with the weight on the front of his foot, then perhaps his heel hit the top of Fisher's foot, then Oden's foot twisted to the right, after Fisher had moved away.

That makes it a little more ominous. So is the fact that initial X-rays were inconclusive.

Yep. They took them last night. Inconclusive. Doing an MRI today.

I think the X-rays would show an avulsion fracture. Worst case -- torn ligament? He would be back in December I would think if that is the case. Hopefully it's just a sprain and doesn't become a nagging issue as the season progresses.
