Nice compliment from Terry.

Jason Terry said Portland"by far" has been the best defense Dallas has faced this postseason. He blamed turnovers for struggles vs. Heat.

Jason Terry is an idiot.

Did anyone actually see Jason Terry say those things? I need proof God damnit!!!

Jason Terry is kind of a dipwit. He just runs his mouth a lot.

Dumbest thing he has ever said! Watching the Mavs shoot wide open 3 after wide open 3 was sickening. The Blazers were awful on defense in the playoffs...AWFUL! Terry is just pissed LeBrick is shuting him down. Comparing the Blazers defense to the Heat is just a complete JOKE! and to say were better hahahahahahahahahahahaha and I hate the heat.

"Blazers has the best defense" -Jason Terry

But Terry still seems hesitant to give too much credit to the Heat, even going so far as to say the Portland Trail Blazers were better on defense in the first-round series than Miami has been in the Finals.

"Portland, by far, has the best D," said Terry, who added that the Heat has a "great scheme" that is "working for them thus far this series."

I think Portland plays really good defense most of the time for about 18-20 seconds. It seems like the last guy to rotate is always just a tad late.

Wow, out all the teams and defenses Terry has played in the playoffs, Ptd defense stands out to him. That is saying something from a top offensive player in the league. Why are Blazer fans so reluctant to take an compliment from a key player in the championship series?

Of course Artest said Roy was the hardest player in the game to guard and we all know how that eneded up playing out . . .

Well we did hold Dallas to under 100 in every game but Game 2. We did allow a lot of wide open 3's and our pick and roll D was atrocious at times until CJ came in and actually showed our bigs how to defend it properly, but Dallas is just damn good. When you are loaded with shooters, guarding the pick and roll is a nightmare. Really, if we get any offense from players not named LA, we win that series.

Exactly, if we had any consistent offense at all in the series our defense would have been herald' superb. I think it all comes back to a lack of inside presence, as soon as you take away the inside buckets, the court become a helluva lot smaller.

Given the talent level on the Blazers, I thought they did everything they could in the playoffs and was proud of their effort and perrformance.

Can't wait till next year (assuming there is a season)

I actually met JT in vegas. I was at a 3 card poker table and he sat right next to me. He's actually a very cordial and respectful guy. He kept calling me sir and we shot the shit for at least a couple hours. I explained that my step son was really into basketball and wanted to go pro. I told told Terry that I told my son it's very hard to get into, but work at his game and maybe something cool will happen. Terry asked the floor manager for a piece of paper, then asked me what my step-son's name is. He wrote on the paper, to my son, "This is Jason Terry and your dad said you wanted to go to the NBA. You just got to work hard every day and the game will come to you" then signed it.

And frankly his quote "They can get their chance one game at a time" held very true. They are in the finals; when no one considered them even a team to beat. Not saying he's a genius, but he does have clout.
