He's the forgotten PG out there. It's not like he's not talented either - he's one of only three active players to have achieved a "five by five". I've never understood what he's supposed to have done wrong, but apparently he's "working out in Atlanta and in great shape". I'm sure KP would never do it because of "character" issues - plus the fact that he's not a shooter - but he's a gifted passer and an all-round talent. And look at this face - could he really be that bad?

wow...has it already fallen to this?....Jamal Tinsley....really?....ouch

Okay, but given recent history, you've got to love Tinsley for [video=youtube;tj7tpMoWrEo]

This is almost as bad as when someone said Stephon Marbury was available.

Talking of flakey-but-talented native New York headcases, are you enjoying Ron Artest yet? And how are the Lamar Odom talks going?

I get why Marbury is a cancer. Every team he goes to goes down the toilet. But seriously, what did Tinsley DO? I know he's been kicked out of Indiana, but I'd really like to know why.

...he is much better than any current PG the Blazers have, and/or any free agent PG that is available :pimp:

See: Dennis Rodman

Well Ron hasnt done anything really that bad since the brawl, was on awesome behavior last year, and good luck trying to score from the outside with Ron and Kobe out there....As for Lamar there is a thread in the Lakers section rumoring that he accepted a 4/36 deal today. :ghoti:

Ron and Odom played growing up together. Ron loves Kobe. Kobe loves Rons desire. Phils back....good times

Ron Artest knows how to play basketball "rough".

See: Isiah Rider.

Phil Jackson doesn't fix all headcases.

Oh you mean the year Phil and the Lakers won a 'ship with him on the team?....yeah, that backfired obviously
See: Artest is far superior to Rider and Tinsley in talent

How is that relevant? I said that Phil Jackson wasn't able to get through to Rider, so the idea that he can "fix" anyone is clearly not true. Those Lakers weren't counting on Rider, so it didn't matter. These Lakers will be counting on Artest, so it does matter.

alright hater :devilwink:

Oooboy! I love our choices tooodaaaay! Tinsley or Felton! Tough call...

It's like deciding whether you want to staple-gun your balls to a wall or die of dysentery. Really really tough to choose just one.

I would take him if he was cheap, can't be any worse then what we have so far!

Yeah, the Lakers adding veteran stars has always worked great. Glenn Rice, Mitch Richmond, Karl Malone, Gary Payton - the list of stars who came to the Lakers and had their best years ever goes on and on. That Kupchak fellow is a genius.

And as for Tinsley - I know it WON'T happen, but the list of people complaining without saying what's wrong with Tinsley leads me to think that his bad reputation is a myth. Everybody knows he's bad. They just don't quite know how they know it.

His troubles are well documented, and they mostly make you think of JR Rider, except instead of drugs he's had troubles with guns

The guy's a headcase and nothing but trouble.

Did you actually read that article? Find in it anything that Tinsley did wrong. Here's a good quote for you:

"It happens all the time," Thompson said. "I'm not going to say it happens every day, but it does happen. It's not unheard of.

"The only reason it's noteworthy is because it's Jamaal Tinsley."

Well Ron ... was on awesome behavior last year

he was also on a contract year, good luck getting the same behavior out of him again.

regarding Tinsley - he's a career 39% shooter. I might take him as 3rd string PG on the vet's min, and even that's pushing it.
