With Marcus Williams being out for a couple of weeks, why don't the Nets pick up another backup PG that is a similar playmaker like Marcus? I was thinking of Jared Jordan who I believe got cut by the Knicks before the season started. Jared has excellent court vision and play making abilities and guys like Nachbar, Boone, S.Williams, Wright, etc could benefit playing with a playmaker like Jordan in the second unit. I don't know how bad (or decent?) he is on defense, but the guy definately has talent as a distributing PG. I think it was in the NBA Orlando pre-draft scrimmage on ESPNU I saw him make some beautiful passes - fastbreak outlet passess, bounce passess to guys near the basket etc. Even earlier in the Nets-Knicks preseason game, Jared pulled off a very nice bounce pass in the lane to a cutting player for the score. He's also similar to Jose Juan Barea of the Mavericks (check out the start to the season Barea has had). We could use Armstrong for defense (although he hasn't been that impressive thus far) and Jordan for setting up the offense. I think he's a pretty smart player and could pick up the offense quickly and give Kidd some rest and take pressure off Carter bringing the ball up the court and setting up the offense.</p>
