Jeff Bower for GM

NO had the best PG in the league for a good chunk of his time there, and they never seemed like a decent threat to really do anything, IMO. The Paul pick was a no brainer for him there. I guess good for him on making the pick. But Paul falls to him when he shouldn't have. Julian Wright, Hilton Armstrong, Cedric Simmons, Pondexter and Brackins is a whole bag of shit, otherwise.

This article says an analysis of GM's draft performances rated Jeff Bower as the best of the decade. Looking at NO draft history though, that doesn't seem quite right. In 6 years, he drafted 5 lottery busts.

A Business Week study illustrated Bower had the best drafting record of any NBA GM in the last decade, highlighted with draft notables such as Chris Paul (No.4 in 2006 NBA Draft), David West (No. 18 in 2003 Draft), and Darren Collison (No. 21 in the 2009 Draft).

Chris Haynes should have linked to the Business Week article. I just looked at the Bowers transaction history and I came to a different conclusion.
