So an ammo maker in Idaho made pig coated bullets for better protecting themselves from Islamic terror. Honestly... meh. Whatever. I doubt anyone who would buy these are going to be any more likely to shoot 'em a guldurn moslem than they were before. And this is America dammit, people can make whatever stupid-ass product they want. The only part that really raised my eyebrows is that this idea was cooked up in response to the proposed Ground Zero mosque.

But anyway, look at their information section I quoted below. It actually makes some interesting points. I mean, if a group of Islamic radicals were going up against an army using pork coated bullets, would that affect them? It's an interesting idea.

Honestly, I don't think it would work. It's understandable to think that radical jihadists are so strict in their religion that something like the threat of pork coated bullets might deter them. But I don't think this is the case. Islamic radicalism is all about picking and choosing the sections of the Qur'an to follow (specifically the 5th century warfare ones) and then reinterpreting them through power hungry imams. All that would need to happen is having one imam associated with a group of Islamic militants issue a fatwa laying out how if you are killed by a pork covered bullet... something something something doing the work of Allah... aaaaaaand you'll still go to paradise.

But yeah, points for creativity.

If I remember correctly, the day before 911, some of the bombers went to a strip club, which is obviously against the strict tenets of Islam. If they do it voluntarily, I don't think they will worry about pork fried bullets.
