I agree with Joe. There isn't a bad guy in this situation. It's just a tough situation. I believe him when he says he tried and agree with him when he says he failed. He didn't however fail to do the best thing for the franchise, he just failed at doing the best thing for the franchise moving forward with Dame. I also agree that although it makes things hard it makes sense for Dame to try to get to the best situation possible.

Great news conference maybe all of us can stop demonizing guys who have always seemed to be class acts.

Says the Blazers will be patient and wait for the best return. If it takes months, it takes months.

Says the Blazers are talking to some free agents but transactions are on hold.

He wants to appease Dame, but wants the Blazers to get the right deal.

Would welcome Dame back to retire in Portland

It's also the point of the presser. He got up there, he looked calm, he told everyone he'll take as much time as he has to and he put the ball in the court of Dame's camp and any team that wants to acquire him. I thought it was a very smart and well executed move.

Feels like the team's current GM is a Portland GM where the previous one was more of a Dame GM. You can understand why we are where we are, but I am very glad that the GM chose the team over the player.

Based on this press conference, I don't think anyone blames Dame for wanting a trade. Even Cronin doesn't blame him.

The issue most people have is insisting on only one team. It limits the franchise.
