The Alaska GOP machine is one of the most corrupt in the Union. Ted Stevens is just another nail in the coffin. Gov. Palin ran against that machine, which is why she was elected. It wouldn't surprise me at all for the average Alaskan to vote Democrat simply out of sickness as to the way that machine has worked.
