186 all-purpose yards, including an 85-yard touchdown

A testament to Oregon's ability to find talent. Huff was a three star recruit and only received offers from a handful of school, only one of which was a Pac 10 school!

4 star on rivals with offers from many quality programs... he was a reasonably high profile recruit. Can't wait to see DWilliams and Lache with him next year

Huff verbally committed to three different programs (Minnesota, Utah, TCU) leaving the Horned Frogs on signing day for the Ducks. I think I recall him playing for a spread attack team in HS where he played at all the skill positions including at least one season at QB. Glad to have him

He was money yesterday. He had a couple drops I think, but overall he played great. He makes losing Tuinei hurt a little less.

The reason I prefer scout as opposed to rivals is because rivals has a tendency, if you've followed recruiting for years, to bump players if they commit to large/popular schools w/ a large fan base.
okay... I have not noticed that but will keep an eye out for evidence of it. In this particular case Huff was on the Ducks radar early on last year according to rivals, and they held him at a 4 star throughout.

One of the reasons I prefer them to scout is because they pass out less 4 and 5 star ratings, so if a guy gets one it carries a bit more weight. It also isn't founded and run by a bunch of Huskies who consistently over rate/bump UW talent and do just the opposite with Duck prospects.

I was recently discussing this with Wheels

Huff was also listed as three star by ESPN

whats the deal with ESPN? It says that it's recruiting analysis is powered by Scouts Inc. but their ratings of guys varies from them.

That's why I like 247sports better. It's created by a bunch of the writers that left Rivals and Scout because they didn't like the rigorous and the somewhat old-school framework of those two websites.

I'll have to check them out.
