Qyntel Woods is the one who used his trading card for ID.
I never understood the way that story got, and still gets spun.

Young black guy in Portland. Pulled over driving a car you know the cops didn't believe he should be driving. Didn't have his drivers license or other government issued ID.

What he had was a trading card with his picture and name on it. He showed them that.

What would you have done? I'd have shown them my fucking trading card. While yelling, "Don't shoot". I mean, they were Portland cops after all.

You already hit the high point. The guy had no license. Period. If I recall the team had someone help him get legal to drive. Not like he left it at home. And seriously, at the height of popularity that the team enjoyed, I doubt that he would not have been recognized.

Definitely stupid speeding around in a flashy car without a license, even worse doing it Driving While Black. Using the card to convince the cops that he was who he said he was: Not stupid.
