Yankees still up 1-0 on Gardner's HR (#11) & Roberts is just completely useless.
 
...have I mentioned, I'm so sick of Roberts and his half-assed defense as well as coming up small when batting?...seems like every time I see him bat he's in the middle of a rally and he predictably fails.
...please get rid of this poser...hell, put Donald Duck at 2B.

Personally I think Daffy's the better hitter.

ha ha Gardner shooting for 20 homers this year to lead the team. McCann put a nice swing on the ball just hit it to the wrong spot of the park.

That made no sense to me either Vic. A 144 hitter & you throw him a beach ball over the center of the plate instead of wasting a pitch or two & get him to chase one. WTF?
 
...Darvish with a 2 run lead will be tough to overcome...Yanx had their chances to run him from the game.

I understand you don't want a wild pitch there but if it's me I go high out of the strike zone and there's a good chance he chases one.
 
...down 2 runs, 2 out, and Roberts is wailing at the first pitch...BRILLIANT !

Hitting 144 I'm sure he's chased many pitches out of the zone this year. Just a very bad pitch selection by Phelps. And costly, like Ron said over coming 2 against someone like Darvich is going to be tough.
 
Yeah doesn't look good. Unfortunately, we knew the pitching would start stumbling at some point.
