What the hell has gotten into Gardner? If someone wanted to bet me that he'd be 2nd on the team in HRs 100+ games into the season I would have jumped on it.
 
Holy shit Gardner, in little league you're taught then when you're on second with first base open you never run if the ball is hit in front of you. Especially with nobody out. Result, out at 3rd.

Ron that's the part of our discussion last week that I completely agreed with, The only way these exaggerated shifts are going to stop is when guys like Teixeira start going the other way. I mean hell if you could bunt or just learn to inside out your swing you're a certain 300 hitter. Its a gift, why not take it. Boggles the mind.

He refuses to do so and if I remember he even said himself previously that he's too old at this point to change. I honestly cannot stand him anymore and wish there was a way he could be out of here.

Unbelievable, only the Yankees could make a 150 hitter (Arencebia) look like a 400 hitter.
 
Willie Nelson is tuning his guitar in case he has to enter the Yankee Clubhouse post game and serenade the Yankees with one of his early hits. Lets hope we see some turn around because Baltimore & Tampa are tied and the Jays are leading Boston to this point.

I mentioned this to Ron earlier in the day Vic, although baseball reference shows Wagner with 3,420 hits every other lists (including the ones they've posted on TV over the last two nights) shows him with 3,430. And after Wagner is Cap Anson in 6th with 3,435. It really doesn't matter though since he'll pass both of them anyway & finish his career in 6th.
 
The Yankees have been long over due for a game like this. I mean they're doing to the Rangers what generally gets done to them.
