KURODA 4-5 4.23ERA VS HUTCHISON 5-5 3.86ERA

Can they take 1 in Toronto? I'm hopin'.

need a win today. maybe the lineup will pick up where they left off late in the game yesterday

The time is now to start hitting. Especially heading to Fenway for the weekend. We shall see what tonight's lineup is a little later.

There's no doubt that we really need some up the dead weight to pick up there games a bit. And yeah Vic, tonight is as good a time as any for it to start.

...plain and simple, they need the power game to improve. I remember people complaining that the Yanx relied too much on the long ball and pointed to a poor RISP as the main problem...but now, it's the lack of HRs that is killing them. I know teams need a balance of both, but right now the Yanx have a problem scoring runs in bunches.
...they have 62 HRs, while the league average is 71...hell, even the NL averages 68 HRs. When was the last time the Yanx ranked 10th in the AL in HRs?

They are currently on pace to hit only 130 home runs this year. Which would be there lowest full season home run total in 25 years.

First inning with a guy on third and one out they as usual fail to get the run in. That just sets the stage. Then this f'n Reyes again.

Reyes what an idiot he is when he gets even a hit. That is the reason he will be bounced from team to team as fans get tired of that kid actions.

Well power was mentioned so good the see the Tex message. That being said the other power hitters need to step up as well.

Ichiro came through with bases loaded and I might add looked bad on that fly ball doping to his right.

Isn't it amazing how 95% of the time when the count is 3 & 0 that the very next pitch is right down the middle?

Well seeing BOTH Kelley & Warren in this game its safe to assume that genius Joe is going to allow Nuno to go out & lose another game on Friday. He ought to just forfeit & save all the fans the aggravation.

...they were never going to pitch Friday anyway.

...edit; guess I passed the test.

The bullpen does a solid job with Robertson getting the five out save. 5-3 victory.

Ron, you or I couldn't have pitched Friday & had a better chance of winning. What I'm surprised at is with the day off Tanaka could have pitched Friday. Which is where he would have been anyway had tomorrow not been a day off.

Doubt it...you'd balk all the time when your wheelchair rolled off the rubber.

...check their game logs...and you essentially said the same thing about Phelps a week or so ago.
...it also has a lot to do with matchups vs Boston's pitchers Friday and Saturday.
