She a bit cray cray. I watched a bit of the trial at various times. I never quite figured out what to think about her, how to feel about her, the situation, etc.

I could have maybe believed her story (even through the level of lying she initially did) if she hadn't continued to attack him after he was clearly beyond dead.

Jodi Arias Found Guilty of First Degree Murder, Could Get Death Penalty...

Jodi Arias was found guilty today of first-degree murder and will face the possibility of the death penalty in a hearing that will begin on Thursday.

Cheers erupted from the crowds waiting outside the courtroom in Maricopa County, Ariz., as Arias was convicted of murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in a vicious attack in 2008.

Re: Jodi Arias Found Guilty of First Degree Murder, Could Get Death Penalty...

Arias and Alexander continued to sleep together until the day Arias killed him in what prosecutors said was a jealous rage. According to court testimony, Arias drove from California to Alexander's home in Arizona, had sex with him, took nude photos of him, and then stabbed him 27 times, shot him in the head, and slit his throat.

Arias had claimed throughout the trial that she killed Alexander in self-defense after he flew into a violent rage because she dropped his camera while taking nude photos of him in the shower on June 4, 2008.
She initially denied being at his home and killing him and later said masked intruders murdered him. She later admitted killing Alexander, but insisted it was in self defense. Her attorneys had urged the jury to find Arias guilty of manslaughter instead of murder.

The lurid details of the trial gained national and international interest, as Arias claimed that the devout Mormon Alexander was sexually abusive, physically abusive, and a sexual deviant. The prosecution dismissed her claims as outright lies.

Testimony in the trial began in January and wrapped up on Friday, May 3.

Don't remember hearing about this til now, but that's some messed up shit.

Stabbed 27 times, shot in the head, and throat slit. The definition of overkill

I just heard she was a freak. :MARIS61:

Did anyone else find it weird that the jury could ask questions of the witnesses during the trial?

I watched the dateline, 48hours or whatever shows on this story and I felt it was pretty obvious she was guilty so I'm glad to hear she was convicted.

Half the time those shows make it seem like the jury was stupid and convicted the defendant based on "feelings" instead of evidence.

Would love to be on a grand jury to see how a trial plays out and have a role in deciding the outcome.

i seriously can't believe people wasted their lives following this shit.

She had that Bay Area female chauvinist attitude. All her life, she's been indoctrinated that a woman has the right to hurt a man any way she pleases. She kept bragging that there was no way she'd be convicted.

This nothingburger is bigger news that the bombshell information of obvious cover-ups given out today by eyewitnesses at the consulate who spoke at the Benghazi hearings.

We're People Magazine Ammmurrrica. Somebody pull my finger.

It will ruin my count if I have to add fractional Benghazi threads to your total.

Am I the only one that's just glad this should be out of the news now?

I get 5-6 legit "news" channels, all in the 202-210 range, but flipping through them, you don't get any legitimate news. One channel will still be talking about the Boston bombings, two more channels will be talking about the Arias case, and then one or two other channels will be unwatchable because of Nancy Grace, Piers Morgan, or Greta Van Susteren talking out of their asses.

Latest from this morning.

'I'd rather get death'

Jodi Arias tells KSAZ she does not want to spend life in prison for the murder of her ex-boyfriend. She's back in court today.

I dumped cable for the lack of real news, plus Comcast increased my price every couple of months.

I was going to do the same. Then, when I told them I was switching to another provider, they begged me to stay and gave me a discount.

I went through that cycle, but whenever I wasn't looking they sneaked it back up.

They do that, but I started requesting written confirmation documenting the pricing and the term length after I would threaten to leave. Haven't had a problem since.

I did the written confirmation once. After going through the same negotiaion cycle for years (get a price break, supposed to last 9 months, lasts 7, price nudges up a few months way past the old high till you get mad and restart the cycle) I just got disgusted by them.

Those are great shows, yeah good riddance it seems.
