1:05 PM on the Yes Channel. The great Alex Rodriquez making his debut at DH.

...I'll be sticking pins into my ARod voodoo doll every time he comes to bat.

I'm sorry I started a 2nd game thread, I'll try & delete it.

Evoldi pitching. 1st batter hits a ground ball to Drew &..........................................E-4

A-Rod batting 2nd, HOLY SHIT! a single to left.

Yankees and 79 degrees................here's hoping.

Meredith looks like she gained a few more pounds. I miss Kim Jones.

How did Eovaldi look? I was able to peak in just in time for Arod's monster single. Missed the rest.

...^^^ gave up a run but the defense let him down so it wasn't really his fault...mid 90s FB with little movement...command was not that good...but it's early.

5 innings in being shut out 1-0 with only 1 hit & A-Rods got it. Whooda thunk it?

Walks to load the bases & lifted for a pinch runner.

Now its up to Gary Sanchez with the bases loaded. Sac fly, Yankees now down 2-1

#83 hits into a DP.

Line score after 6 = Phillies 2 - 6 - 0 and the Yankees 1 - 3 - 1

"The Yankees lose, The Yankees lose, Thhhheeeeeeeee Yankees lose".

3-1

...something nobody seems to mention; if MLB really wanted to speed the game up why did they embrace the reviewing of instant replay for managers appealing plays calls by the umps?
...each appeal seems to last a minimum of 5 minutes.

Day 1 of the Alex Rodriguez Yankees. Not looking forward to
the whole regular season....ad nauseum. The media will just
add to the bullshit. This team is going no where.

Here's an idea how bad things are about the NY Yankees. After the game Michael Kay & some other guy were talking about the team & they mentioned how they're really no stars on this team anymore & the closest player who could even be called the FACE of the Yankees is Alex Rodriquez. How fucked up is that?

Just pretending to be rational, so how did Rodriguez look today?
I know its only his first ST game and he's expected to crumble any day but could we see some kind of small miracle and he kinda, somehow actually survives long enough to make an impact and wipe the smiles off the faces of those weasels in the media who can't wait to bury him and the Yankees?

I don't mean to spoil the party, I like parties, but it did look nice seeing him stepping into a pitch and pulling a line drive hit to LF.

FACEPALM of the Yankees is more appropriate.
