Stopped by the PF on my way to Eugene to pick something up for my sons auction. The War Room was full! Talked to some of the guys......... Joel looked at me then looked at the clock....... Said, John I got 2 hours to go! He doesn't want to go anywhere!

and im sure you are just as nervous as they are...

gag

The way this forum is talking, I figured they'd all be at Jiggles making it rain.

Even if Joel gets traded I'd love to see the blazers resign him in the off season, provided he can get healthy and regain some spring in his step.

i think its safe to say if its raining ..... batum wont be there

The starters are getting exhausted night in and night out. LA, Nic, Dre, and Wes are playing 40+ minutes every game. The bench needs serious help.

A healthy Roy/Oden would do wonders but since i'm living in a dream world how about Joel/Camby for Dwight and then Batum/andre draft picks and cash for Igoudala/Holiday.

Yep which is why one of the trades we missed out on, but is less heralded than many of the others, is really the one that pissed me off. Sacramento basically gave Carl Landry away to New Orleans. Carl Landry for Marcus Thornton with the Hornets using their cap exception to absorb the 3 million dollar contract. We could have done that, and probably provided a better player.

Thanks for posting that. Always interesting to get a little sense of the tension on the team.

All this makes you wonder how clear-headed our squad was last night. Makes me feel a little bit better about choking at the end of the game. Guys like Przybilla and Miller don't really know where they'll be playing next week, and everybody else is wondering if those guys are coming back...

Via ESPN, talks broke down today of a move to send Aaron Brooks and Shane Battier for Marcus Camby. Portland is pretty much submarining all of its talks, wanting huge return.

The curse of "overvaluation" strikes again.

Yes we would make out like bandits with a 5'10 pg that really is a 5'10 sg, and a 32 year old SF that is only valuable is because he's expiring all for the price low low price of our starting center.

Oh well, at this point, I don't think anything will get done.

Brooks and Battier for our starting center? Thanks, but no thanks.

Mixum I'm disappointed in you. Didn't u read that the blazers didn't want to give up Batum in all the options this year? Even this quote was posted again today......

One source says CHA insistence on Batum stalled GWallace-to-Portland talks. Blazers been telling teams all year that Batum CAN'T be had

Rockets trying:

The trigger-happy Rockets have redoubled their efforts to acquire Marcus Camby from Portland, sources say.

3-way deal?

Scenario is complicated because it could involve one or more pieces that would go to Minny for Jonny Flynn, i.e. Aaron Brooks.

I used to think it was a KP thing (and he probably did have a little bit of this particular affliction) but more and more I think this is a Paul Allen thing. Whatever, c'est la vie.

Camby has wanted all along to stay in Portland. But Houston, where he lives in offseason, is one of few places he'd go happily. NY is other.

Deal coming?

Jason Quick
20 minutes from trade deadline and Rick Kaplan - agent for Blazers center Marcus Camby - says it is "too quiet"

jwquick However, Kaplan says he's "not really concerned" that Blazers will trade Camby, who has been vocal in wanting to remain in Portland

After last night, no player on this team should be doing anything but hanging their head in embarassment.

You know, I feel for these guys like Pryz and Camby that don't want to be traded; but with the injuries this team has suffered the team HAS TO wipe any sympathy from their brains and make only cold, rational, ruthless decisions. There is no quick fix for this roster, and a series of small improvement over the next couple of years can make all the difference.
