I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but even if they ARE related he might deny it. That would suggest negligence on behalf of the Blazers and their medical staff. Who knows?

It's possible that the knee was weakened by last year's collision and then never fully healed, but it all seems like pretty pointless speculation; something that can never been known one way or another and even if true, there's no way we'd ever hear about it.
