I know he averaged around 20 errors a year but between 2001 & 2005 he was a full time 2nd baseman. And now with an outfield of Gardner, Ellsbury & Beltran he needs to find a regular spot in the lineup. Give up yet? I'm talking about moving Soriano back to 2nd base.

What do you guys think?

...he was a horrible 2Bman and can barely play the OF...no way.

...Jeter will be bad enough defensively...don't need to flank him with someone just as bad...just my 2 cents.

So with Jeter taking approx 50-60 games at DH next season where does that leave Soriano.?

...I dunno, I think it depends on how many OFers they have opening day...I heard rumors about the Yanx possibly moving Gardner or Ichiro...not sure how many games Jeter will DH (doubt it's 50-60) but I'm sure Soriano will get his fair share of DHing himself, as will others.
...at their age I'd guess both Soriano and Jeter will spend just as many games resting on the bench as they will be DHing. Plus, McCann and Beltran et al will also see a few games at DH too.

Stand fast with Kelly Johnson but if an exceptional opportunity pops up to make a deal grab it. I'd agree to keep Sori away from 2d base. The one scary thing I saw on MLB was a Yankee lineup with Nunez at 2d God forbid. I think it's time that the Yankees moved Nunez along as well.

If the Yankees could get lucky with Nunez, Phelps, Nuno, Manny B. and 3 other horseshoes that could fall out of their ass, then we would really be looking good. If there was ever a chance for Nunez, last year with Jeter and this year is wide open.

Believe me I know how bad Soriano is at 2nd. As I pointed out in the OP he averaged 20 errors a year between 2001-2005. I'm just saying don't be surprised to keep his bat in the lineup if the Yankees put him in the infield several times a year. Just saying.

As far as Nunez, he had his shot last season so if the Yankees can package him in a deal I say do it.
