What a weird movie. Since most everyone knows the story I don't have to worry about spoilers.

First, these giant rock monsters are the ones who built the ark.

Then once they're on the ark Noah kinda goes all Jack Nicholson in The Shinning crazy like and wants to kill members of his family. It's completely creepy and at any moment you expect him to hack thru a wall and yell, "Here's Noah!"

Also they never say God in the entire movie, it's The Creator. Just seemed a little odd and forced political or religious correctness. It's a bible story, I think it's okay to say god. If people were offended by the mention of god I don't think they would be seeing the movie.

I'd give it a C+, B-. Wait till it comes out on bluray.

Noah going to block a few blazer shots?

If they aren't going to follow the bible they should have named it Gilgamesh. Much cooler name.

I guess I will pass now.

Just kidding.

Ha! I heard another critique about Noah a few days ago that said, "you ain't gong to like this!"
Now I don't know what the purpose of the story of Noah is as far as the cannon is concerned but making it something other than what it is, seems dumb. Not needed here.

As for the wildman on the boat, it should be on this summer sometime so get prepared to come down and give a full report before the Big run starts. I need to run it up to Portland and get some canvas work done.

Look forward to it!

If you don't be good, god will drown every single baby on earth, until they asphyxiate in a slow and torturous death full of panic and fear

God fearing indeed

I hope the rock monsters look at least as good as the one in Galaxy Quest...

When you see him, make sure to tell him how you really feel

Thanks for the Review! Wanted to go see it until I read about the filmmaker and figured Hollywood would ruin it. Redbox it is.

... get outplayed by Lopez.

Can't wait for Noah 2........Electric Boogaloo!

Did they use subtitles so you could actually understand Russell Crowe when he started mumbling?

My name is Noahmus Decimus Meridius, commander of the animal armies of the north, general of the animal legions

Where’s the beef? That’s what the carnivores were wondering as they arrived at the Boathouse in Central Park for the “Noah” party.

The buffet tables were loaded with various forms of edible vegetable matter, but there was no meat, fish or cheese — because director Darren Aronofsky is vegan, as was the hero of his biblical epic, as played by Russell Crowe.

To underscore the point in the movie, which also stars Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly, villain Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone) eagerly bites the head off an unidentified reptile and devours it raw. Meat = evil. Got it.

That part of the movie did actually make sense to me. It would have been weird to see Noah and family use the ark as their private meat buffet.

Chickens lay eggs. Eggs aren't vegan.

Noah put all the animals asleep with this magic incense stuff. There wasn't any chickens awake to lay eggs.

If he wanted eggs... You know.

The producer is a vegan, so the message in the film was vegan.

its clearly the fascist hollywood jewish vegan illuminati pushing their libtard animal friendly nazi agenda

I thought it was wildly inappropriate for Noah to scream YOLO when the people came to beg at the door of the Ark.

He makes one of Noah's sons gay and you're worried about what they eat, lol.

One of the reviews I read the person was questioning why they made one of Noah's sons gay but I didn't really see that. He was just a kid with long hair. Hell, Jesus is shown with long hair. I didn't notice a gay thing with the movie. Not that there would have been anything wrong with that.

Everyone should see this movie. Sly was actually in it. He played the part of Methuselah.

:devilwink:

well, if you are the last gay guy on earth, being gay would kinda suck
