Sigh. OK. I'll read it. Doing my part to support the local e-conomy.It was an interesting article with good information.
It was an interesting article with good information.
Sorry, I absolutely REFUSE to click on anything the hack writes. Sorry Sly, it's just personal.
I thought sly claimed there was interesting information in the article. Where is it? Hasn't all of that already been hashed out in the forum? For you "purists" who won't read Quick's stuff, I'll give you the high points.
1. The deadline to extend Meyers Leonard is Nov. 2nd and there haven't been any discussions between Olshey and Leonard's agent to date. Quick thinks this is by design by Olshey to avoid a whole lot of back and forth. Quick thinks there will be one offer, one counter and that will be it. The Blazers will at least make a qualifying offer so Meyers will be a RFA.
2. Since Leonard is likely to get more next summer than his $7.7 mil cap hold, the Blazers will preserve more cap space to chase FAs by waiting, but this probably isn't a big deal since they'll be flush with cap space anyway. Waiting puts the Blazers at risk of another team making a toxic offer for Leonard next summer, like the Blazers did with Kanter.

YOU MUST BE CRAZY!Aren't you co-workers?
All I know is that I'm planning on buying a Leonard jersey at the opener on Wednesday, and I'm getting tired of having to replace jerseys annually, so however they do it, they need to secure him.
Picked it up at the UT OT win.
Quick >>>>> Jabari Young
This is like going from a 1998 Ford Taurus to a Nissan GTR R35.
Like him or not - Quick is the best sports writer in Portland.
NO needs to get this done now before his value skyrockets... and I lose my first Jersey...
Thing is, Meyers has an agent who is aware his client will get lots of playing time, and the ability to showcase his skills coming into an offseason where there will be a LOT of money available. No reason for him to give the Blazers a discount.
Oh I agree. But NO should still be trying, if anything to make him restricted. If my Jersey is worthless in a year....
It will never be worthless, @EL PRESIDENTE will always offer you $15 for it.

Well, unless there is a fallout, no matter what happens it will be cherished to me because its my first Blazer Jersey, hell My first any Jersey.
EL PESIDENTE... $500 and its yours. Get it now and you can say you had one from BEFORE he was an ALL Star!!!![]()
