Awful news. Get well soon KOJ. He has been great this year for the sixers.
 
I think I read he has been released from the hospital. So don't know how long he'll be out from basketball, but at least sounds like he's ok, and doesn't sound life threatening.
 
So WTF is going on with the "hit and run" and Oubre? Police have no evidence of accident when and where it was supposed to have occured.

Wasn't he picked up at the scene by first responders?

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Spruce and Hick streets, according to police.

The vehicle -- only described by police as a "silver vehicle" -- was traveling at a high rate of speed, when officials said, it struck Oubre as he was walking across Hick Street.

Police said the 76er was struck by the driver's side mirror in his upper chest. After the crash, officials said, the vehicle fled the scene, headed south on Hick Street.

Officials said he was transported to a hospital “in stable condition with a broken rib and injuries to his hip and right leg,” after being hit and he was released a few hours later.

The Sixers said Oubre was walking near his residence in downtown Philadelphia when he was struck.

Philadelphia police said on Wednesday that they have found no evidence supporting that there was a crash.

TMZ has ring doorbell footage of Oubre pulling a bike into his apartment seemingly in pain and talking to someone. TMZ says in the video he says "'I got hit by a car,'" which the person he's speaking to repeats. They also said the person Oubre's talking to is his wife.

According to the part of the story you posted, it seems he left the scene of the accident and went home, and first responders tended to him at his home after his wife called for them.

How about "Kelly Oubre injured in collision while cycling"? No idea exactly what collided with what, but that seems accurate regardless.

The big question overall, is, was there actually a Hit-and-Run involving a moving vehicle?

The other is, was he walking or riding a bicycle?
