Maybe Skip Bayless is right. And if that’s the case, Knicks fans have the right to be extremely hopeful.
The screaming TV provocateur said during Wednesday’s episode of “First Take” on ESPN that superstar free-agent forward Kevin Durant is interested in coming to New York. Bayless cited “a pretty good source, a couple of them.”
Whatever that means, it could spell a big-time turnaround for Phil Jackson’s squad. A trio of Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis certainly would be formidable in the East. Of course, there are salary-cap considerations, and Durant has been linked to an array of NBA heavyweights, including the defending champion Warriors.
