Discarded Zach Randolph who has been embraced by his franchise, learned to play tough defense and will likely have his Jersey retired has elimimated imaginary cap space and prime Lamarcus Aldridge, who now is more likely to leave the team due to the discouraging first round knock out.

Kevin Pritchard and Tom Penn have officially failed in absolute terms.

I told you so.

KP should be talking to us on ESPN like all the other loser gms and coaches do.

ZBo would have been out of the NBA and possibly in jail had he stayed with POR. I happy he turned his life around but it took him bouncing around the NBA to do that.

The summer we traded Zach he put up these numbers:

24 PPG | 10 RPG | 22.8 PER | 25 years old

We definitely got a poo-poo platter in return.

Ah yes, the imaginary impending federal charges....

Aldridge more likely to leave now? Did you not read the Broussard article? Maybe just read the We'll see and the pants shitting begun? He said in the article even if we lost it wouldn't affect his decision.

It's Bs. If portland won and advanced I believe he would naturally been more likely to stay.

It's easy to start shitting your pants over Randolph now. But he was passed around like a $10 whore before landing in Memphis. WE weren't the only ones that couldn't handle his immaturity any longer.

Be happy for the guy that he found a good home and has stayed out of trouble

Screw any imaginary past charges. I talking future screw ups. It took Zach being humbled in NY and LAC on the court for him to turn his life around off the court.

Zbo was awful with the Knicks. The Grizz weren't s**t until they got Gasol and Conley to run the offense. Zbo is lucky as hell to have landed there.

The other GMs were also historically bad (clippers and Knicks).

No, Zach is the same. It seems portland is the problem. It's the same song and dance of a vocal minority of fans who always chase players out one way or another

Going to simply agree to disagree here. Zach is a lot more grown up. He might have been able to do it here but not near as easily.

I was very against the trade at the time. I wouldn't have been against all Zach trades but we still were stuck with Darius Miles contract so dumping Zach didn't help our cap sheet much. The Knicks would've taken Darius for Malik Roses expiring contract or another team would've came along in the offseason with a similar offer. But Pritchard was so hell bent on trading Zach immediately he didn't care about the return. Even if we had to start the season with him; Zach and LaMarcus and Oden would have been a hell of a big man rotation (based on what we knew at the time). As it turned out Oden was out for the year and Zach was even more needed. When your a lottery team you need to maximize your return on talent. It was ridiculous how many fan boys were claiming we'd be better with addition by subtraction. We were a lottery team the next season and eventually peaked as a 2 win playoff team. It was really a waste of Roy's only dominant few seasons and in particular I wonder what the Houston series would have been like because we desperately needed a 3rd scorer after Roy and Aldridge.

Zach is the same fun-loving black man. What has changed is that he doesn't have the immature Oregonian tailing around the police, seeking rumors. Grown-ups work at papers in other cities.

Many NBA players (and businessmen and everyone else) generate rumors from police, but the other cities have no team-hating local media ensuring that every little rumor is heavily reported, repeated, and milked as moralist/hater bovine waste products.

You admit that the problem is Portland, because it's different from other NBA cities. Step 2...Identify the difference. Why would Zach have failed here, but succeeded elsewhere? Step 3...Fix it.

Randolph might not have had a fair shake, but Aldridge has, and he hasn't stepped up. If he wants to leave because of this playoff series, he has himself to blame.

Zach succeeded after years of maturation off the court, it has nothing to do with Portland. Really the only thing Portland is at fault for is it is an enabling city that is truly not for young men with a lot of money.

You guys must have been watching a different series than I was. Z-Bo is now as soft as Aldridge. Did you guys not see him flailing his arms around and yapping to the ref looking for a foul?

That's just zbo now lol he still owned us on second chances. It was pretty funny seeing him lose his cool against Meyers though.
