Doc Rivers echoes a similar sentiment:

KD shot 15 free throws in their game, and a lot of those came off of questionable calls.

I'll never feel sorry for KG for any bad call that doesn't go his way. However, I watched the game, and there were some horrible calls that went in Durant's favor.

I saw a bit of this in the game between OKC and the Blazers last time out, the refs seemed to call a ton of touch fouls and any attempt to front him which seems to partly explain why he's been scoring with such great ease this season. Apparently the league has sent out one of their 'chosen one' memos and this kid is going to be the new 'it' guy for awhile

No he's just really fucking good.

I really enjoy watching KG agonize. what a little bitch.

Of course he is ... but watch him some time, the refs really don't allow much contact with him at all, hence he's getting to the line 10 times a game which makes his already impressive scoring ability appear almost other worldly. He's a true budding superstar, and he's already getting that superstar 'benefit of the doubt' ref treatment.

If only Roy got the calls that KD gets on a consistent basis...

He's on pace to overtake Kobe's best season for FTA's, and only 18 players have ever done better.

+1. He's definitely getting the star treatment from refs. Not complaining just paying attention. :devilwink:

OKC's offensive plan seems to be run at the hoop and get touch calls more than half the time. When the NBA changed the rules to allow for more penetration, I don't think this is the crap they had in mind. 15 free throws for KD? Sheeh.

He's second to only Dwight Howard (10.2) in FTA/game and also tied with LeBron (10.1/game). Meanwhile, Kobe sits at 11 (7.3/game) and Roy sits at number 14 (6.9/game). Kind of interesting.

I think it's fair to say he's getting the benefit of some calls other players aren't.

Wait until tonight. Melo is bitching that as of late he is not getting the same calls he did earlier in the season. I don't lke the timing of that! He is difficult as it is to stop. The bottom line is NBA officiating is frustrating becasue of the star treatment. How many times does Bayless get hit out top when he is trying to turn the corner. He never gets that call. Others get it all the time when they throw their arms up. (See Dirk)

I really just want to punch the whole Boston Celtics team in face after their shitty play against the Spurs and now Thunder.

How about this KG? How about you just play like a championship contender on your home floor so you're not even that situation where ticky tack fouls hurt you? Ridiculous.

He gave Batum fits because the refs wouldn't let Nic get physical on D last time. Nic had 4 fouls in less than 14 minutes last game he played Melo.

"I thought we were playing Michael Fuckin Jordan tonight the way he was getting the whistle"

Not a fan of Garnett's game and don't like him as a player . . . but that is one fuckin funny line.

Haha @ that quote above.

And first Wade, then Lebron, and now you can add Durant?

No he's just really fucking good.

There are plenty of really fucking good players. Oden was really fucking good this year until he was injured, yet he couldn't go 2 minutes without getting some bullshit touch foul called on him.

IMO this is the last hurrah for the Celtics. They paid the piper for a championship, and now it is the long skid back to the pack.

I have said this a bazillion times. No matter how good a player it it never legitimizes the preferential treatment shown to players by referee's. All it does is alienate fans.

I thought Tommy Heinsen was going to pop a blood vessel last night. You know how he gets with the refs. But lets face it, Boston does foul alot. They hit you and hold you constantly. When they get a way with it they win, when they don't they lose. Very simlar to Denver. (and Houston last year)

Yeah, Roy takes a beating without many calls and Durant gets the benefit of nearly every touch foul.

Exactly. Count how many times Roy ends up on his ass each game. Watch how many times Durant is on his ass.
