What a leader. What a tough competitor. He does so many little things off the court, you can't really judge him by numbers.

One of the things that alway irritated me about JKidd is that when things get tough he's the first to want to jump ship. He did it in 05 after Kmart Left, and he's been hinting at wanting to leave since last year. i think he's a tremendous player but he's not easy to root for when you consider his off court problems and how quickly his attitude changes during trying times.

Well it'll decrease his trade value some, but if teams think he's just not trying as hard for the Nets and knowing he'll play harder if he's traded then it shouldn't lower his value too much.

Maybe he's playing injured, I always hear about him playing with some nagging injuries but not telling anyone about them. If he was injured and wasn't playing he would be harder to trade.

You can see this in his stats, especially his rebounding numbers....sign of hustle. When I was at the game, he had a chance at 3-4 more rebounds, and just never went for it sticking to Davis. It hits everyone of these overpaid stars, especially when they're losing. You've heard the quote 'if this were the playoffs, he'd be playing." Well now that they're losing, a little bruise here or there, Kidd will miss the game. It's not an energy thing, it's a motivation thing, we're not winning, so why bust my ass.....I've established my spot in this league.

The real place you see it is that he never takes the ball to the hole. He does it maybe once a game. He used to be one of the toughest guys to stop when he took it to the hole. His free throw attempts are at a career low. Either he can't take the pounding, or he's afraid he can't finish anymore. A lot like Carter in a way.

honestly Kidd's triple doubles are kinda overrated...they never equate to wins and realistically the stat itself hides the tremendous difference in play from previous years.

He doesnt drive to the hole, he doesnt go the the ft line, he doesnt press defensively and he settles for jumpers all day long. The rebounding is impressive but it hurts his ability to get off to a fastbreak.

I dont care about rebounding from a pointguard...I'd rather have Nash and his 17.6 points and 12.1 assists with 51% FG% and 47% 3P% or Chris Paul and his 21 points 10.4 assists on 49% FG% and 37% 3P% over Jason Kidd and his 11.3 points, 10.6 assist 8.3 rebounds on 36% FG% and 33% 3P% any day of the week.

so true. Now it would be plus having a point guard that is well at rebounded but for the last three year kidd led this team in rebounds per game??? Nash doesn't have to hang around in the paint as kidd does trying to rebound. Once Amare gets the board Nash is already running and waiting for the ball to be passed to him.

The TD are over rated to me. I mean it will look good history wise but you have to remember what really matters is wins and championships. If Kidd TD is all that matters why is that any different from when T-mac was averaging 30 but losing games.

A triple double from Lebron is so much more impressive for in so many ways. Lebron will score 25 and grab 11 aand dish 10 while playing small forward...meaning though he is still the teams primary scorer and not there pg he still will distribute the ball.

I don't deny that. The only difference is the Nets primary scorer is Vince Carter. Their secondary scorer is Richard Jefferson. If you just look at the Nets as far as scoring goes, Kidd is more of a complimentary player. His job is to run the offense. Lebron is the essentially the first and second scorer for the Cavs. He's going to get his shots every night. No one wants Kidd scoring twenty five points every night b/c that means he's taking too many shots and not running the offense.

If Kidd was scoring 25 points off of layups and freethrows, so shooting around 45% FG%, and was averaging 8+ rpg, and 10+ apg, if he didn`t get his MIP, MVP, and COY right then and there I`d be super surprized.

Didn't you say above that "Kidd's TDs are kinda overrated...they never equate to wins" ? 70 wins means never, right?

Plus, most teams would want Nash and Paul on their teams but it doesn't mean that all other PGs are insignificant. You'd want Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant also instead of Josh Boone and Vince Carter.

Rebounding is rebounding. It is still important, no matter who grabs the boards. It's like saying you don't like a Center who can make plays and get assists.

Ok...Baron Davis, Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams, Deron Williams, Tony Parker...a few more names I'd rather have...now I was wrong about Kidd's triple doubles never equating to wins...but THIS YEAR they don't I don't give a shit about the past because its in the past and doesnt matter now...and now this team sucks.
