The New York Knicks have held internal talks about trading for Derrick Rose.

The point guard position has been identified as the Knicks' greatest area of need this offseason.

The Chicago Bulls' desire to trade away Rose at this point is unclear. Rose will be a free agent after the 16-17 season.

But they do have a ton of cap space and could easily absorb Rose's contract if CHI was just looking to dump salary.

Supposedly, they are also interested in going after Mike Conley.

They definitely need a PG. Apparently, would prefer one that is overpaid and often injured. Makes sense. They're the Knicks.

Giant boom or bust scenario for Rose so thats not a horrible idea. If i'm the knicks i'd trade Carmello for Love and then dump love to a third team in the deal for as much as I could possible get for him draft picks/young talentwise and then trade peanuts for Rose and see if he can get healthy and has any left. If he does awesome if not your not giving up much and your team is in rebuild mode anyway.
Of course if the Bulls want anything more then a second rounder and some crappy player then i'd pass.
