This was long overdue. Nichols was too impressive in summer league. Plus it wouldn't make sense to trade a 2008 second round pick to acquire him and not keep him.
The only question is: With 17 players on the Knicks with contracts, who stays and who goes. Will Isiah use the expiring contracts of Jones and Dickau?
