In the current issue of SLAM magazine, Kobe is quoted as saying:

"Brandon and I were talking over the All Star break, and I told him I don't know of any player outside of myself who had no weaknesses besides him. If you think about it, he can go left and pull up and shoot. He can go right and pull up and shoot. He cab fade left shoulder, he can fade right shoulder. He can shoot the long ball. He can finish at the rim. He can shoot free throws. He has no weaknesses in his offensive game."

in golf i might say "Get your mouth off my ball!"

Lest Kobe forgot that decision-making is part of one's offensive (and defensive) game.

Kobe must of forgot about the team around Roy, they seem like a weakness when you have a PG that can't shoot and bigmen who can't stay healthy :p

S2 "where we think someone is an asshole, unless he says something cool about one of our players, then he is all of the sudden credible, happens"

"He has no weaknesses in his offensive game."

That's not exactly the same as saying he has no weaknesses...

Let me just ask you, um, what is your presence on a board that supports a team that has actually accomplished something in the league, and not just losing to Jordan's Bulls (cuz we did that too)?

We had a thread on this when Kobe said it months ago. Maybe that's why the Paul Revere newspaper was pictured above. It's old news.

Haha reminds me of Ron Artest during last year's series.

"Roy's probably the best player I've ever played against. To me, he's like, the best shooting guard-- not on defense now. His defense is kinda suspect."

I love Brandon, but he really does need to work more on the defensive end.

What like I Needed Kobe to tell me Roy is a good player?

Wow I feel so much better about my team and Roy after hearing that.

It's a public forum for basketball fans, I'm a fan of the NBA. Sorry for pointing out the obvious though, my bad.

What I thought was funny about the quote was that Kobe thinks he himself has no weaknesses.
