If it's true, it's probably a smart thing for Kobe (although I'm sure some fans will be pissed).

They should be favored to win regardless, and he needs to take some time off to heal his injuries.

Not sure if this is good or bad. Just means they'll go to Gasol and Bynum and and attack us at the basket. Kobe always seems to prevent this with his bad shot selection.

In the end though I'd still rather play the Lakers w/o Kobe.
