Kobe: "(Steve) Blake is like a brother to me"

That's a misquote. He actually said, "Steve Blake smells like a brother to me." It's common knowledge that Blake's locker was next to Jodie Meeks, who is notorious for sousing himself with BOD Man body spray...

In before a RoyToy predictable Steve Blake bash with no originality!

(And I have a good idea what the reply will be too)

Steve Blake is the consummate "sqeeze every ounce of success out of his limited natural ability" guy. Kobe showing some repect. Nothing wrong with that.

Well ya know Blake still wears Kobe 8 System iD sneakers. So to be quite frank, there is a little of Lakers blood in the Blazers locker room.

I'm sure plenty of people here would be perfectly happy to see the Blazers' locker room painted in Lakers blood.

Trust me Meeks is certainly an exeption to the rule. I don't know ANY Brothas (and I'm one) who use "Bod". That's for you White folk.

In the interest of full disclosure, I just googled "body spray for black guys" and grabbed the first brand name that came up, lol...

Paul pierce played 82 games the 2000-2001 season. Kobe will be lucky if he plays 70.

Blake's best attribute is his ability to find scorers. BRoy loved it and so did Kobe. It's going to help the Blazers bench big time this season

Of course it's easy for him to find scorers...it's everyone but him. #RoyToy #YOLO
He can shoot the 3 but he's sort of a photo negative of Mo..not a guy looking for his shot. He'll get bench players the ball which Mo didn't always look to do

It's weird to say Steve Blake is one of the best past first PGs in the nba because of how many great guards there are. But a lot of the greats are scoring PGs.

I'm definitely happy to have him as our backup pg, I think it's exactly what we were missing last season.

Racial stereotypes are bullshit, always have been, always will be

a common stereotype:

eskimos own a disproportionate number of locksmith shops relative to their percentage of the general population

in fact, this is not true

they just work at them in high numbers, due to their nimble fingers and mastery of the whale oil tumbler technique, the shops themselves are actually typically owned by the jews

Meh, majority of white men can't dance. Myself included.
you may not be able to dance but believe me there are more good dancers from every ethnic background than you allude to. I'm a good dancer. Go to any Salsa club and you'll see a lot of good dancers who are fair skinned. Anyway, this is bound to degenerate into a flood of stereotypes. If you have children please don't teach them that crap. My irish father won many ballroom competitions in the 1940's. If you can't dance, you just haven't been to the right places to learn or practice.

Repped!!

Steve Blake is going to have a hard time shaking off his friendship with Kobe in the eyes of Blazer fans, Kaman has the edge because he didn't like being there from the start. Now that's going to appeal to Blazer fans all day long. Neither of those guys were even on my radar before we signed them but I gotta admit, the signings have grown on me. Terry Stotts is a bright guy. Neil Olshey is a bright guy. I like what I've heard from all of them and I liked the interviews Blake and Kaman had after being brought on board. Kaman taking Leonard to his private gym and Blake and Kaman working out together here before anyone else showed up is commendable. Both these guys are coming into camp healthy and rested from limited minutes last season. Both are playing for contracts in a sense so it's an opportunity for them to find success and have an impact immediately

I was pissed as hell when we signed Kaman, but I agree. It helps that he's a funny guy. His avatar of his face on 'Sheed's body probably did the most to win me over. Blake is an improvement over Mo simply because he passes more and is less likely to take minutes from CJ, who was much more similar to Mo than he is to Blake.
