Wendell Maxey: According to a source close to Kevin Pritchard, Paul Allen doesn't want KP sitting next to him in Allen's courtside seats during games
- Twitter

:ohno:

Pfft,it's pretty significant.

Paul Allen can't even stand the sight of Pritchard it seems.

I wonder just how mad Allen is at KP? It sure seems like there's something more than just 'professional discontent' going on here ...

Yeah, definitely makes you wonder wtf is up... I don't buy for a second it's because he took Oden.

Reading reports over the years, plus The Accidental Zillionaire, Paul Allen is prone to impulsive and irrational decisions. Working for him must be a nightmare.

Haha what a joke. The guy puts an incredible team together and gets treated like this? Let KP go and see what happens with the future of this team.

I don't know what PA's thinking, but hey it's his team. He can do what he wants.

Nobody really knows for sure what he did to get this 'treatment.'

It's all about the agent, PA remembers just how much of an asshole the guy was during the Drazen negotiations. KP would be better off getting a new agent, especially in light of being involved in playing Penn against the Blazers to get more money.

Dude, that happened twenty years ago and he was John Nash's agent too if I recall; it's not like he's got this particular agent black-balled.

If I was KP I would just leave. I mean its pretty obvious you're not wanted if they don't want you sitting with them during the games. Really sad that this is happening to KP. Its even worse that the organization is keeping KP when its obvious they are firing him after the season is over. They are not doing KP a "favor" by not firing him until after the season.

After the Penn to Minny thing I bet it is.

KP does seem like a guy who is not very grateful, especially when he has been given a ton of resources to work with. I bet that the whole KP going around and asking what other GMs make has really pissed PA off.

I know Vulcan, according to Canzano (yeah, I know), they feel that KP and his group didn't look into Greg's medical records far enough. The red-flags were obviously there.

I also wonder how Paul Allen feels about Kevin Durant emerging into an MVP candidate in only his third year.

It really makes me wonder if KP didn't talk Allen out of Durant on draft day. Allen has a track record of loving scorers and shooters (eg. Martell).

Exactly. This has nothing to do with Oden/Durant or any other basketball moves. This has betrayal (or perceived betrayal) written all over it. Some how, some way Paul feels disrespected. This is all about EGO. KP has done a very good job, but if you piss of the boss it makes no difference.

Or maybe it was Nate who begged for Oden?

Stop with the random assumptions, like KP dismissing Oden's medical reports. KP doesn't seem like the kind of person to leave any stone unturned. He clearly does his homework, and that's what makes him a good GM.

No one was taking Durant over Oden.

It was called the Oden draft for a reason.

heres what we know...

durant is a stud

oden is a dud

kpee is getting fired

mark w is getting hired

Look, I'm just offering up speculation and I never said anything about KP dismissing the medical reports. I'm sure Nate wanted Oden, but I think KP made no mistake about where he was leaning.

Exactly, but isn't it at least possible that Allen wanted Durant, but maybe got talked out of taking him first?

Well if we're just talking about speculation, I speculate that KP was torn between the two and went with Oden because that's who Nate wanted.
