Haha, even if you dont like him as a GM, you gotta love his attitude...

dude is going down swinging...

"I'm doing my job every single day; coming in here. I'm going to battle every single second to make this the best organization I can," Pritchard said. "At the end of the day ... they're going to make their decision. But until then, I'm going to compete like heck. I've done it all my life, guys. This is not something unusual. I'm OK with it and, again, what I would tell you is this: May the best person win."

Once during the exchange with reporters, Pritchard seemed to catch himself. He realized he had said more than he wanted, so he said "a couple more questions."

After he broke away, I asked him privately why he chose that moment to make his stand, to make his calculated move.

"Why not?" he said with a smile. "What are they going to do, fire me?"

hahahaha

There's got to be a little bit of a feeling of relief/liberation on his part after the last six months of headaches and turmoil. It must feel nice to be able to lower his guard a little bit.

If that's a true statement, that comes from a man who has nothing to lose and knows he's out of a job at the end of the month. He's right, what are they going to do? Fire him?

he might be glad to be out of the franchises grips.

I'll lay money Robert Sarver has already reached out to him through his agent and has an agreement in place -- When Amare leaves that team is going to need a rebuild through the draft and KP and his scouts wouldn't be a bad place to start.

If Pritchard was from Seattle, Paul Allen would have his cock in his mouth right now.

i'm surprised he hasn't done this sooner

As posted earlier in this thread, I don't think Pritchard had a landing sport prior to Kerr being ousted today.

But the other GMs don't like KP!!!

Pritchard basically dared Allen to fire him today, yet I was laughed at for the last half of the season by hasoos and others for saying Pritchard was done here when he stopped sitting by Allen.

Idiots. Vulcans and some fans.

Because there is nothing more important in the world right now than the future of Kevin Pritchard and the Portland TrailBlazers

Good for him. Sometimes it is hard to turn that corner to stand up for yourself if you fear the executives up above you. But at a certain point, it's either man up or get kicked around.

I am gald KP is going out swining. They are beign jerks

the simple truth to it all....

If KP gets fired, he gets paid what is on contract.

If he quits, he does not get paid.

$$$$$$$ talks to KP, and I don't blame him for that kind of money

I don't think that was very professional by KP . . . but maybe it doesn't matter at this point.

KP is a bright individual with a good basketball sense . . . hope he doesn't put any future GM position in jepordy because of the way he us being treated by the Blazers.

Take the high road KP . . . you're future is bright.

Nothing he said reflects negatively on himself. He is being treated like shit and based on what i've read and heard, the rest of the NBA is just as confused about the situation as we are. KP is definitely not a lose cannon when it comes to media interactions
