the Blazers reportedly plan to make a bid for Ray Felton, who’s a restricted free agent

This, according to Dime Magazine, would happen of the Por/Uta/Chi trade doesn't happen. Quick/YahooSports/Bucher all said this 3-way is not happening. So I guess you can take this with a grain of salt.

If Millsap is matched, is Felton plan-C?

Really not sure how good of a source Dime magazine is, but either way, don't want Felton.

Felton is probably plan-Z-2.

Man..keep our fucking money if Felton is what's left..I'm confused though, why go after Felton when Andre Miller is right there?
Also, if we fail on Millsap, go after Lee.......yikes what.a.summer.

Did Casey ever explain who was on the plane from Charlotte that was "of interest to Portland"?

Speaking of plan-C, or D-E-F-G-H, whatever plan KP is on, why would you choose Felton over Sessions? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

For the same price? No

I'm sure there is a lot that KP does that you don't or won't make sense to you.

Looking at Felton's last season, I wouldn't take him over Blake at any price, much less Sessons.

Comparison

Felton looks like complete ass. Even for free he would take minutes away from another player.

Just say no to Felton.

I assume you meant 'wouldn't'?

Perhaps we would make an offer that would be reasonable enough we knew Charlotte would reluctantly match it, but expensive enough that it would force them further into the luxury tax and more receptive to a salary dump trade.

This makes sense to me. It allows us to move Bayless in a pkg for Hinrich.

Hinrich/Felton is far superior than Blake/Bayless.

No way I trade Bayless for Hinrich. I like Hinrich and consider him an upgrade on Blake, but not enough of one to deal away Bayless.

Well, if you sign Felton first, you are going to have to deal more than Bayless to match salaries for Hinrich. If you deal for Hinrich first, you can't sign Felton.

Either way, I wouldn't deal Bayless for Hinrich, and I don't like Felton for Portland.

First off no way we trade Bayless for Hinrich.

Secondly, Felton is clearly a 3rd stringer behind ?starter/Bayless he is replacing Patty Mills as the hand clapper at the end of the bench who might see limited minutes if an injury crops up and Roy/Rudy are foul plauged.

Felton will not see any meaningful minutes if this is true.

Felton is an excellent defender. Better, by far, than Blake. Better than Bayless, at least for the next couple years. Better than Hinrich? maybe, maybe not. If Hinrich isn't available, Felton would be a nice defensive upgrade. In my opinion, defense on the perimeter was our greatest weakness. Felton would help shore up that issue. Is his bad shooting worth it? Well...if Pritchard believes so, I guess I'd be okay with it.

Felton? Holy crap, if this is KP's definition of "going for it," we all better find new hobbies.

What a joke.

No thanks! Hey, this is my first post on my new iPhone. It's fun reading all your bullshit on a tiny screen!

I just bought my wife an I-phone and puts some comments on while driving down to Oregon Country Fair. I-phone = the shit!

I'm with you. Felton is an underrated defender. I'm not necessarily advocating swapping Blake for him, but more adding him as a back-up for Blake instead of Bayless.

I have no clue why so many people think Jerryd is ready to take over for Sergio. He's shown NOTHING, but one game, IMO, where he could be relied on to lead the team in even a reserve roll. People are either selling Sergio short for what he meant to the team or they're seeing something that I haven't from Jerryd.

I'd much rather get Hinrich, Sessions, or possibly even the spark plug that is Nate Robinson before Felton, but I completely understand if Felton is in our sights. When he was on the floor for the Bobcats, they were better for it, even when he was having to play out of position. He's very coachable and would be a big asset to the team IMO.

Felton ... I ... ummm ... hmmm?

I guess I thought KP has this thing about point guards who can actually shoot the ball? Gotta say, I'm really curious where this rumor is coming from.

Well if KP is going to completely fuck up this summer, he might as well finish it off right by bringing in Felton. That would just be the piss in the punch.
