<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nenad Krstic is likely to start Friday against the Bobcats, his first time with the first unit after a three month layoff. He played 15 minutes against the Magic, scoring three points on 1-for-5 shooting and grabbing six rebounds. He also committed four fouls. He said his knee feels fine. Sean Williams will likely come off the bench. Activating Stromile Swift, who has yet to practice with the team, will be a game time decision.

its been what 3 games and he's already taking his starting job back from sean?

good job leprechaun

Can't wait to see Krstic drag the defense out for an easy Boone lay up.

Great, we have our full compliment of players. Will Thorn continue to use Krstic as a crutch for the reason why we suck?

Boy and we get the Bobcats, what a way for Thorn to see a W and believe we're on the way back. The more you delay, the longer you push of winning in the future.

wow...PANIC MOVE.
Three games in and Krstic is already starting?
Wow.

Sean, nooooo. Haha naw if Krstic is really ready to step back into the limelight, Krstic/Boone is what we have to go with.

Anyone else find it weird that Stromile Swift got here Monday, but still hasn't practiced with the team!? uh, wtf?

Man, I am gonna be out tonight too.

I have missed Krstic.

Could be just wanting to see how he is from the start rather than fitting into the flow of a game in progress.

Also, maybe they want to showcase him a little before the trade deadline.

He must be still trying to figure out how to read the playbook.

They should give him the playbook on tape.

For an Einstein like Swift? Of course!

Krstic is moving fine. He is running the floor, grabbing boards, setting picks which means physically he is ready but he is still not playing well so it must be mental.

By giving him the starting spot you are boosting his confidence and seeing what he does with Kidd, Carter, RJ. He has basically played with the 2nd unit so far.

It's not a big deal, personally I don't think he will be ready to contribute till next year anyway.

haha the playbook came on a DVD. Now we're really in trouble

I don't understand the lack of enthusiasm for the return of Krstic. Sean Williams may actually be better suited, at this point in his career, to the sixth man role, an energy guy off the bench. Krstic needs reps badly. He needs to step out and take a few, he needs to get underneath and mix it up and he needs to push it in the open floor.

Swift arrived on Tuesday. Team played LA that night...then traveled on Tuesday night to Orlando for a back to back. Then, after Orlando, they traveled to Charlotte. Teams don't do a lot of practice on the road, particularly since they have played three games in four days.

A bigger issue is why Magloire doesnt ever play...ever, even in blowouts.

100% agreed.

Krstic was never Kenyon Martin. He hit open shots and that has nothing to do with his knee's. He just needs to feel it.

No, it's more like one of those "what's the wrong that can happen?" moves. I really don't mind Krstic starting. That way Sean Williams can bring energy off the bench; something that he can do very well.
