Wow...he was ancient like 3 years ago...

Eh... no thanks. We would have to cut someone and I don't think Kurt is better than Freeland at this point.

I would dump Claver. He will not be on this team next year and has little if any value. I am certain Thomas could give 10 mins a game when needed and as mentioned, six fouls.

Also, being an over 10+ year vet, does the league pay his salary as it did in the last CBA?

Nate- why would you even mention Freeland? Of course, we won't trade him. He's having a great year.

I don't think you actually read the posts.

1) I said Thomas isn't as good as Freeland

2) Nobody ever mentioned a trade

Read what other people actually say, then post.

I read what you wrote. You said "I don't think.." as if it were up for debate, like you were offering an opinion. He's not better. Couldn't understand why you would even mention it.

Freeland is our backup center. I don't think Thomas is as good as Freeland so what's the point of picking him up?

I would think the point would be for a #3 guy. It didn't cross my mind to compare KT to JF. They are in different leagues.

41...damn, that is old. If Freeland is not better than a 41 year old who has been retired for a couple of years, we have bigger issues than we thought on the bench.

:matrix:

Like if I said "I don't think Jack is better than Lillard."

Well, firstly, we're talking about adding a bench player, not a starter, so that comparison makes no sense.

More accurately would be "I think Jack is better than Mo Williams," because they're both backup point guards.

I am thinking there will be games we will need another big that has experience and six fouls to offer. I don't want Robinson trying to play center when we are in a playoff push. thomas can play both the 4 and 5, Robinson can not.

Leonard?

I am note looking for Thomas to replace Freeland, I want him to back him up and also play some 4 if needed. I another experienced 10+ year vet was available that can play the 4/5 I would want to take a look at him too.

No you are missing the point. Mo and Jack can be compared like you said. That's not the point. Lillard and Jack can't. Just like Freeland and Thomas can't. They are in a different league.

Joel Freeland is a nice player, but come on Eric.... the dude isn't setting the world on fire. He's just a solid bench player.

I think he would be a great add to the coaching staff. No way he is worth a roster spot.

Kurt Thomas isn't better than anybody on our team. It would be stupid to sign him.
