Okay... the kid's dead. Let's just get that out of the way. The odds of him still being alive after being missing this long are astronomical.

Why is this kid getting so much pub and so much drama, while other kids who are missing don't? The local media is becoming 24/7 Kyron Watch, and I'm sorry to say I'm getting a little sick of it. I feel for the families, and of course, for the boy himself, but Jesus Christ, kids go missing every day. Black kids, Mexican kids, Asian Kids, and even other white kids. Where's the media frenzy regarding their disappearance?

I guess I'm just a heartless bastard.

I'd never heard of this guy. Sounds more like a twisted sequel to Gus Van Sant's Drug Story Cowboy than it does a real life killer.

* 203,900 children were the victims of family abductions.
* 58,200 children were the victims of non-family abductions.
* 115 children were the victims of “stereotypical” kidnapping. (These crimes involve someone the child does not know or someone of slight acquaintance, who holds the child overnight, transports the child 50 miles or more, kills the child, demands ransom, or intends to keep the child permanently.)
