That's not even the bad news, just the cruelest irony imaginable.

The bad news is, it's happening again.

Few franchises have had one story like this. This is like The Curse of the Bambino Squared.

So true.

Bowie played a lot more games than Oden has in his first three years.

Get well, GO.

Greg also had a surgery that wasn't actually required.

Is that the new meme, that the MF surgery wasn't really needed?

No, it's not like he couldn't walk or it was an obvious thing.

If that had been 20 years prior, they would've scoped his knee, and he'd be done with it and played.

If Bowie broke his leg (12 times) 20 years earlier, they would've done the same thing to him then, as they did in the 80's.

Just because they have a new procedure to do now, doesn't mean it had to be done.

How so? What would they have 'scoped? His torn cartilege? So, he'd be without that cartilege now, and would never get it back?

Yep. Back then, that was SOP. Of course, Oden would have wound up like Steve Johnson - hardly a "good" outcome.
